The bellus 580 that we rent out has been an icon among sloops for 30 years. The bellus 580 was designed for the Mediterranean by the legendary naval architect Dick Koopmans Sr. Due to its complete seaworthiness, the sloop possesses unrivalled transverse stability, excellent comfort and remarkable sailing characteristics. Designed for rough water, the bellus 580 is an extremely comfortable, stable boat, especially in calm canals and inland waterways. In addition, with a cockpit depth of 68 cm, it is very safe for children travelling with you. We require the skipper to be at least 21 years of age and in possession of a valid ID. Upon arrival, the skipper will hand over his identification and pay, in addition to the rent, a deposit of € 150. This can be done in cash or with pin. Before departure, you will receive an extensive instruction in which the boat, the sailing rules on the water and possible routes are discussed. The sloop has room for 8 adults, which makes it suitable for a fun group activity. We also offer several arrangements for lunch, high tea or drinks in collaboration with the Kaagsociëteit. With us, you can rent a sailboat without a licence. We rent polyester sixteen-square sailboats. This type of boat is ideal for both the experienced and the less experienced sailor. Are you completely inexperienced but would you like to learn to sail well? You can get sailing lessons from certified sailing instructors. You can also sail under supervision, in case of a company outing but also because you have a physical disability.
